joy“I pray that God, the source of hope, will fill you completely with joy and peace because you trust in him. Then you will overflow with confident hope through the power of the Holy Spirit.” (Romans 15:13, NLT)

Today’s post ties in with yesterdays. As you learn to trust, it will fill you completely with joy and peace. If you follow this Scripture, God is the source of your hope and as you trust in Him it will fill you with joy and peace. It is then that you will overflow with confident hope through the power of the Holy Spirit. I believe the key word in that last sentence is confident. There’s a difference between hope and confident hope. The more you trust in God, the more confidence builds in the hope that you have.

I believe if you and I both will follow these steps that I’ve been writing about, you will move from hope, to confident hope. There’s a reason why you’re on the journey you are on. There’s a reason why God has led you down that path. He’s building trust and filling you with greater joy and peace that will result in confident hope. Right now you may have hope with a large question mark over the top of it. In other words, you’re hoping that what you’re hoping is really God’s plan. The more you trust the more you will become confident that what your hope is, is God’s plan for your life.

The more you walk in this path, joy and peace will begin to fill your life because of your trust in Him. Though you go through seasons of disappointment on your journey, God’s plan is that you live in joy and peace. He’s leading you into it now, the signs ahead say Joy and Peace. Keep on your path, keep trusting, keep moving forward, and watch how you move from hope to confident hope.
