“Therefore, put on every piece of God’s armor so you will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil. Then after the battle you will still be standing firm.” (Ephesians 6:13, NLT)

“So use every piece of God’s armor to resist the enemy whenever he attacks, and when it is all over, you will still be standing up.” (Ephesians 6:13, TLB)

The spiritual armor we have been given is intended to be used together. It’s not designed to be used one piece at a time, it is designed for us to wear as a complete piece of armor. I don’t like to put too much emphasis on the enemy, however, the fact is that there is a spiritual enemy out there. If there wasn’t, there would be no need for armor.

God’s purpose for your life is not to be beat up by the enemy and left for dead. He’s given you armor so that you can resist the enemy, and when the battle is over, you will still be standing firm! This goes along with what I wrote on Monday concerning our authority. We must know what we have been given, what its purpose is, and how to use it. Once we do, we can operate in authority in our lives.

You’ve been given armor to battle the enemy with authority, and when it’s all over, you’ll still be standing firm.
