No one was allowed to go out or in. 2 But the Lord said to Joshua, “I have given you Jericho, its king, and all its strong warriors. 3 You and your fighting men should march around the town once a day for six days. 4 Seven priests will walk ahead of the Ark, each carrying a ram’s horn. On the seventh day you are to march around the town seven times, with the priests blowing the horns. 5 When you hear the priests give one long blast on the rams’ horns, have all the people shout as loud as they can. Then the walls of the town will collapse, and the people can charge straight into the town.” (Joshua 6:1-5, NLT)

I’ve used this passage before in some of my writings but it stood out to me again today. Sometimes there are things in life that seem like there is a locked gate blocking the way. It could be fear, such as in this passage, or it could be other circumstances. God told Joshua that He had given him Jericho and then went on to give him specific instructions on how to get past the locked gate. Joshua, being the great leader that he was, followed the instructions and if you continue to read you will find was successful.

There has been some gates that are locked and standing between you and your destiny. You’ve tried and tried to unlock them and nothing seems to work. God is going to give you some specific instructions on what to do that won’t just unlock the gate, it will completely demolish the entire wall that the gate is attached to.

Listen closely over the next few days, week’s, and months as God reveals His perfect plan for your life and also reveals how to accomplish that plan. There are specific instructions coming your way that will open locked gates!
