newlife1 I’m writing to you to inform you of some developments taking place with Stephen’s Gate that we are excited about.  Many of you know our story, many do not.  In short, we moved to Georgia from Maine just over one year ago.  We were full time Assistant Pastors in Maine and weren’t sure exactly how ministry was going to play out in Georgia, all we knew was that God was calling us here.  The past year has had up’s and down’s but we’ve always kept our zeal for ministry.  It’s taken us about a year to fully adjust and adapt to the move.

In December of this past year we decided to take the month of December “off” to seek the Lord for His will.  I still wrote Stephen’s Gate but other than that, we did nothing for ministry, we simply rested and focused on God.  There had been a few things stirring in me for ministry but I needed clear confirmation and direction.  For the longest time I still had the desire to be a Pastor, I thought that was what I was to do at this time.  What I found was, that desire and passion was leaving and I was having a passion for developing my own ministry.  To make a long story short, after December, through much prayer, prophetic counsel, and confirmation we have decided to make “Stephen’s Gate”, “Stephen’s Gate Ministries.”

Now, as far as a title goes, that’s just one word different.  However, with that change comes some structuring and developing.  Kristen and I have a lot of thoughts and ideas that we are still praying through.  We are taking this process slow, yet with speed at the same time.  We don’t want to rush, but when God makes a detail clear we move quickly with it.  Since moving to Georgia we have made ministry connections and there are many more connection opportunities here.  We are hoping to partner with some of these ministries in order to build our name here.  I am praying for some open doors to minister in churches this year as well.  I’m not quitting my job, I am still working a full time job and doing this at night and on the weekend, locally.  I know some day this will develop into a full time ministry.  I also have an idea for a book that I will begin working on.

The main focus of the ministry will be “Awakening Your Spirit, Reviving Your Destiny.”  It was prophesied over us a few years ago that we are called to Awaken and Ignite The Church, that will be our main focus.  The ministry, of course, will have a strong prophetic edge to it as that is my calling.

I will still be writing and posting on a daily basis on my Facebook page and now on our new website www.stephensgateministries.com.  Kristen has spent a lot of time and put a lot of effort into developing this website, I can’t take any credit, she’s done a great job!  There you will find, daily postings and also my weekly blog posts, I have also included older sermons I have preached and a teaching on the Prophetic.   I am also still writing for For God’s Glory Alone Ministries www.fggam.org based out of New Mexico and have also had a few of my writings featured on the Elijah List recently.  I have gained many new followers due to this exposure.  I went from 150 followers on my Stephen’s Gate Facebook page to over 1000 in about three months.  I am truly humbled at God’s goodness and faithfulness.

I felt it was time to inform all of you of our plans.  There are many of you that are new to Stephen’s Gate that I’ve never personally met, but there are many of you that know Kristen and I very well.  You are like family to us, you’ve watched us grow as young children growing up in church, to leaders in the church, to Assistant Pastors, to now.  We truly appreciate your prayers and support.  Continue to pray for us as we embark on this new journey and visions.  I see 2015 as a year to structure and develop this ministry based on God’s leading.  We are excited about what God is doing!

If you are involved in ministry locally here in Georgia and are interested in having me at your church to minister or are aware of connections that we can make locally for ministry purposes please send me a message on Facebook or send me an email and I will fill you in on details.  I’m willing to travel outside of Georgia as long as it’s a trip I can make on a Saturday and be back by Sunday evening at this time.  I’m praying that we will be able to make it to Maine next summer and spend some time ministering there, we will always have a heart for Maine.

Be sure to check out our website, www.stephensgateministries.com.  You may not have Facebook and are not able to read my daily posts.  These same daily posts will be now posted on the website so you can visit it each day and read the daily post.  Also check out our Advisory Council under the tab “Advisory Council.”  We are blessed to have advisors which such knowledge, wisdom, and experience in ministry from Maine, New York, Georgia, New Mexico, and Oregon!  There is a Scripture that goes along with this found in 1 Chronicles 9:24 (CEB). “The gatekeepers were on the four sides: east, west, north, and south.”  The name Stephen’s Gate came from us living on the Canadian border, we were at the gate between Canada and Maine.  We now live in Georgia which is considered the gateway to the south, and each of our advisory council live in a state that is considered a gate.  We didn’t plan it that way, each of these individuals were asked to be part of our advisers after prayer.  It was after we decided on them that Kristen found this Scripture.  I love how God confirms.  So, be sure to check out the website each day for a daily word.

Again, thank you all for your prayers, support, and friendship.  We will keep you posted as things develop, God Bless!
