MOUNTAINS WILL FLATTEN!

LostLake“Then he said, “This is God’s message to Zerubbabel: ‘Not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit, says the Lord Almighty-you will succeed because of my Spirit, though you are few and weak.’ 7 Therefore no mountain, however high, can stand before Zerubbabel! For it will flatten out before him! And Zerubbabel will finish building this Temple with mighty shouts of thanksgiving for God’s mercy, declaring that all was done by grace alone.” (Zechariah 4:6-7, TLB)

Authority by definition is: the power to determine, adjudicate, or otherwise settle issues or disputes; jurisdiction; the right to control, command, or determine.

The past two days I’ve focused on authority and will continue to focus on it throughout this week. Take a look at that definition of authority. This is what we’ve been given over the power of the enemy and the kingdom of darkness. We have the power to determine, adjudicate, or otherwise settle issues or disputes. We have jurisdiction, the right to control, command, and determine.
The enemy likes to interfere in our lives in such a way that we forget the authority we have. We can forget that we have jurisdiction, we have the right to control, and we have the right to command and determine. It’s by the Spirit that we have been given this authority.

We have been given the same authority that was given to Zerubbabel and, I believe, even greater because we are under an even greater covenant. I want you to take the passage above and either write it out by hand or type it out and insert your name in place of Zerubbabel. Then take that passage and put it somewhere you will see it every day. It will look something like this.

“Then he said, This is God’s message to Stephen; Not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit, says the Lord Almighty-you will succeed because of my Spirit, though you are few and weak. Therefore no mountain, however high, can stand before Stephen! For it will flatten out before you! And Stephen will finish building this Temple (my calling) with mighty shouts of thanksgiving for God’s mercy, declaring that all was done by grace alone.”

If you will begin to step into and activate the authority that’s been given to you. If you will begin to activate your gifts mountains will flatten out in front of you. It is His Spirit working through you that will give you victory. It’s time to take authority, you’ve stayed down long enough. Not by might, nor by power, but by His Spirit mountains are going to flatten!
