GET READY: DRY BONES ARE COMING TO LIFE!

dry_bones“The LORD took hold of me, and I was carried away by the Spirit of the LORD to a valley filled with bones. 2 He led me all around among the bones that covered the valley floor. They were scattered everywhere across the ground and were completely dried out. 3 Then he asked me, “Son of man, can these bones become living people again?”

“O Sovereign LORD,” I replied, “you alone know the answer to that.”

4 Then he said to me, “Speak a prophetic message to these bones and say, ‘Dry bones, listen to the word of the LORD! 5 This is what the Sovereign LORD says: Look! I am going to put breath into you and make you live again! 6 I will put flesh and muscles on you and cover you with skin. I will put breath into you, and you will come to life. Then you will know that I am the LORD.’”

7 So I spoke this message, just as he told me. Suddenly as I spoke, there was a rattling noise all across the valley. The bones of each body came together and attached themselves as complete skeletons. 8 Then as I watched, muscles and flesh formed over the bones. Then skin formed to cover their bodies, but they still had no breath in them.

9 Then he said to me, “Speak a prophetic message to the winds, son of man. Speak a prophetic message and say, ‘This is what the Sovereign LORD says: Come, O breath, from the four winds! Breathe into these dead bodies so they may live again.’”

10 So I spoke the message as he commanded me, and breath came into their bodies. They all came to life and stood up on their feet—a great army.” (Ezekiel 37:1-10, NLT)

It’s been awhile since I’ve had a longer writing but I feel this was is important and I can’t leave out any details. As I was studying last night, the Lord brought me to this passage. I’ve written several times out of this passage in the past. What I focused on this time was the impact of prophesy on dead situations and the importance of it in the day we live in.

I believe all gifts in The Body and all 5 of the ministry offices are important and vital in this day. However, I do believe that prophetic ministry is becoming more and more impactful and recognized and I believe that prophetic ministry is what will lead this Church and this country in the days to come. In the passage above there is a valley of dead, dry bones. In order for there to be something dead and dry, there had to have been something alive. There must be life before there can be death.

As I look at the state of our nation and world I see hurting, confused, people. When I look at The Church, I see a group of people that are growing stronger and beginning to gain ground. Now, depending on your location, that may not be evident to you. I follow many ministries in my location as well as around this nation and I see The Church beginning to rise up and take ground. We hear stories of healing and restoration taking place. We hear stories of many getting saved. Whether you can see it or not, God is setting up The Church, and I don’t believe we are approaching a great last day’s revival. I believe we are in it. It may seem small right now but it is gaining momentum and with that I see prophetic ministry becoming more and more accepted, and not just accepted, but sought out.

Prophetic ministry is the tool God uses to breathe life into dry bones. A prophet, or someone who flows in a prophetic gift, have the ability to spot dry situations and have the authority and ability to speak life into those situations. It is the prophetic ministry that will breathe life into the dry bones of this country and its people. It’s the Prophet and those operating in a prophetic gift that will lead this country, fully, into this last day’s movement that I do believe we are in, right now. Prophetic ministry is going to add momentum to the move of God. It’s not going to be flaky and weird. It’s going to be clear, concise, accurate, impactful, life changing, edifying, exhorting, and uplifting.

I believe God is going to place prophetic ministries in the midst of dry bones and then began to direct them to prophesy to the dry bones. The greatest awakening this world has yet to see is in the works and God will use prophetic ministry as a catalyst.

Get ready, there’s some dry bones about to come to life!
