Fishers-Of-Men1-300x210“One day as Jesus was walking along the shore of the Sea of Galilee, he saw two brothers—Simon, also called Peter, and Andrew—throwing a net into the water, for they fished for a living. Jesus called out to them, “Come, follow me, and I will show you how to fish for people!” And they left their nets at once and followed him.” (Matthew 4:18-20 NLT)

Jesus took fishermen and made them fishers of men. He used the talents and gifts that they already had and used them for the kingdom. Whatever you find yourself doing, God is preparing and training you to advance the kingdom using your gifts and talents. There’s a picture bigger than what you may see performing your day to day duties. God is promoting you, He’s changing your job description, and He’s going to use the talents that already exist within you.
