Stephen’s Gate: Awakening Your Spirit, Reviving Your Destiny

faith“Faith is the confidence that what we hope for will actually happen; it gives us assurance about things we cannot see.2 Through their faith, the people in days of old earned a good reputation.” (Hebrews 11:1-2, NLT)

That word “confidence” means full trust. Faith is having full trust that we you hope for will actually happen. It isn’t just having full trust that something will work out by coincidence, it’s having full trust that God can and will come through. In this Christian walk, things don’t happen by coincidence, they happen on purpose, for a purpose. Do you believe, do you have a full trust that what you are hoping for, God can make happen? It’s because of this faith that people in the days of old earned a good reputation. I believe even in today’s age, we can learn a lot about faith from our older saints. We live in such an instant, “I want it now”, environment that’s full of opportunity that if faith doesn’t work for us, we can sometimes make it happen on our own. When I think of the older saints in my life, I think faith. I think of a generation that knows how to stand strong in faith. I think of a generation that knows how to pray until something happens. I don’t know about you but I want a reputation for having faith. What are you hoping for? Fully trust that what God has said, will come to pass!
