IMG_8227Today we have another great writing from Carla Hayes, be blessed!

The master key to change in any situation is a changed heart. While pondering all the different strategies in society, our nation and even The Church, I have discovered that only real lasting change comes from within. You can try to change your habit, sin, and thought pattern and it will work for a while. But what is really needed is for your nature to change. That is what happened when I was born again. My nature changed.

It isn’t a matter of “I can’t do that.” The truth is as a born again Christian, I don’t want to do that. It’s my nature to do what is right. I am no longer sin conscious any more but I am righteousness conscious. When I discover who Christ is and who I am in Him, my life now becomes a life of being “More than a conqueror.”
We have tried so hard to explain to loved ones how to act, think, walk, and talk but the truth is they can’t without a changed heart?

The phrase “Just say no” just doesn’t work. You can do it for a while but it’s not long and that old nature just springs back up.

I am married to a farmer and believe me, you can take the man off the farm but unless there is some kind of change within, you can’t take the farm out of the man! The children of Egypt came out of Egypt but Egypt was not out of them. I have discovered that I have wasted so much time talking about change when only God can change a heart. However, that is exciting because I can pray, watch him work and relax. There is my exchange again! I give my concern to him and he gives me an expectation of faith to see Him work. Talk about miracles! After all, a changed heart is the greatest miracle of all!

What a difference when Jesus steps in. Actually we deny him what is His, as He took all that garbage at the cross, paid for it with His blood and we hold onto it and possess it as our own. Give it back to Him and make an exchange. His nature for yours.

You cannot legislate morality…Pray for changed hearts in America.

You want to see your family change…. Pray for a changed heart. Pray for the Lord to send forth a laborer to speak into their lives.

You want America to change…. Pray for a changed heart in the White House, not a new man.

You want change in your church…. Pray for changed hearts, not new programs

Here is where it starts. Pray “Lord change me. Here is my heart and I fully surrender to you.”

Here are the lyrics to an old song we used to sing:
“Search my heart oh Lord, make it ever true.
Search my heart oh Lord, I want to be like you.
You are the potter; I am the clay. Mold me and make me. This is what I pray.
Search my heart oh Lord, make it ever true.
Search my heart oh Lord, I want to be like you.”

Go ahead, relax and enjoy your day. Make an exchange!

You are blessed!
