P1140240“Now go, for I am sending you to Pharaoh. You must lead my people Israel out of Egypt.” 11 But Moses protested to God, “Who am I to appear before Pharaoh? Who am I to lead the people of Israel out of Egypt?” 12 God answered, “I will be with you. And this is your sign that I am the one who has sent you: When you have brought the people out of Egypt, you will worship God at this very mountain.” 13 But Moses protested, “If I go to the people of Israel and tell them, ‘The God of your ancestors has sent me to you,’ they will ask me, ‘What is his name?’ Then what should I tell them?” 14 God replied to Moses, “I Am Who I Am. Say this to the people of Israel: I Am has sent me to you.” 15 God also said to Moses, “Say this to the people of Israel: Yahweh, the God of your ancestors—the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob—has sent me to you. This is my eternal name, my name to remember for all generations.” (Exodus 3:10-15, NLT)

Throughout your walk with God, He will give you specific assignments. Some may be short term assignments, some may be long term assignments, and some may be assignments within an assignment. It’s common that we feel inadequate when God gives us a specific assignment. Moses was given a pretty heavy assignment, to lead an entire people out of Egypt. His response was, “Who am I to appear before Pharaoh? Who am I to lead the people of Israel out of Egypt?” There may be a time in your life when God assigns you to a certain group of people for the purpose of leading them out. God will place you in front of some Pharaoh’s that you may feel inadequate dealing with.

God answered Moses and told him that He would be with him and gave him a sign that He was the one who sent him. I believe that when God gives you a specific assignment, not only is He with you but there are signs that accompany you to show you that He is the one who sent you.

When you stand in the face of a Pharaoh it can be intimidating but you have to stand with the confidence that I Am has sent you. He has called you to a specific assignment. He has called you to deliver a people out of their Egypt. He has called you to stand and look Pharaoh in the face and inform him that there’s a people that are being led out from under the control of the enemy.

Divine assignments, they require faith and they require courage but God has sent you so He will see you through.
