CAN YOU SEE CLEARLY?

BLUE SKY“When they arrived at Bethsaida, some people brought a blind man to Jesus, and they begged him to touch the man and heal him. 23 Jesus took the blind man by the hand and led him out of the village. Then, spitting on the man’s eyes, he laid his hands on him and asked, “Can you see anything now?” 24 The man looked around. “Yes,” he said, “I see people, but I can’t see them very clearly. They look like trees walkingaround.” 25 Then Jesus placed his hands on the man’s eyes again, and his eyes were opened. His sight was completely restored, and he could see everything clearly.” (Mark 8:22-25, NLT)

Today’s post ties in with yesterday’s post about going deeper. Sometimes when we make the decision to step out and go deeper in the things of God it can be harder to see what’s directly in front of you, that’s part of the whole faith aspect. Or, maybe it’s not because you’ve decided to step out more for God, maybe it’s because your vision has just been clouded due to circumstances in your life. God wants to remove cloudiness and restore clear vision to your spiritual eyes.

While studying this passage I found it very interesting that blindness was and is more common in Egypt and Syria than in any other part of the world. The glare of light, the dust which is produced by a dry season, extending from May to November, in which rain rarely falls, and the fruit of the newly ripe fig, all tend to produce inflammation of the eyes, and this, when severe or repeated, produces blindness. What caught my attention in this is the dust which is produced by a dry season. Have you been in a dry season? It could be that dry season that has caused your spiritual sight to become clouded or blinded. God wants to heal you of that and restore clear sight to your eyes.

I believe the key to you seeing clearer is being in agreement with going deeper. If you will begin to come into agreement with God’s plan in a deeper way and step out even though you feel blind, I believe God is going to heal your spiritual eyes and you will once again see clearly.

Get ready for completely restored sight and to begin to see clearly, clearer than you’ve ever seen.
