BE PREPARED, IT’S GO TIME

Categories: Inspiration

“Preach the word of God. Be prepared, whether the time is favorable or not. Patiently correct, rebuke, and encourage your people with good teaching.” (2 Timothy 4:2, NLT)

“…to preach the Word of God urgently at all times, whenever you get the chance, in season and out, when it is convenient and when it is not. Correct and rebuke your people when they need it, encourage them to do right, and all the time be feeding them patiently with God’s Word.” (2 Timothy 4:2, TLB)

As I read this passage I felt that this is the time more than ever to be prepared. I’m sensing that this summer is a time of preparation. What I heard the Lord say was, “Be prepared, it’s go time.” It’s a time for us to listen closely and do everything God tells us to do. It’s preparation for the fall season, the harvest season. God is wanting to tune your ear to hear Him clearer and tighten up your senses to sense what He is doing in every season of life.

The Living Bible translation says, “to preach the Word of God urgently at all times, whenever you get the chance, in season and out, when it is convenient and when it is not.” I believe a time is upon us and will be upon us after this summer that this will really apply. We need to be ready, at all times, whenever we get the chance, in season and out, when it is convenient and when it is not.

Be prepared, it’s go time!
