For the battle is not yours, but God’s! 16 Tomorrow, go down and attack them! You will find them coming up the slopes of Ziz at the end of the valley that opens into the wilderness of Jeruel. 17 But you will not need to fight! Take your places; stand quietly and see the incredible rescue operation God will perform for you, O people of Judah and Jerusalem! Don’t be afraid or discouraged! Go out there tomorrow, for the Lord is with you!” (2 Chronicles 20:15-17, TLB)

The Lord has led me to start today and continue throughout this week on the subject of “Battle Plans.” God has a plan for your life and because He has a plan, the enemy has a plan to stop you. I don’t want you to get the idea that satan is under every rock and hiding around every corner, but at the same time, you need to realize that we have a real enemy out there who really wants to stop your progress. So, how do we fight against the enemy that’s at work in our lives? I believe God has a battle plan for every enemy, for every season, and for every purpose in our lives. Sometimes He will tell you to fight, sometimes He will tell you to stand still. Everyone’s experience is different, and everyone’s battle plans are different. Want I want to do this week is awaken your senses to both, the attack of the enemy in your life, and some battle plans that we can see throughout the Bible that can apply to your life today.

The very first passage that I was led to was the one above in 2 Chronicles. What we must remember is that whether God directs us to fight or to stand still, the battle is not yours, it’s the Lord’s. In this passage King Jehoshaphat was crying out to God for an answer on how to defeat the enemy when this prophecy came from Jahaziel, “Don’t be afraid! Don’t be paralyzed by this mighty army! For the battle is not yours, but God’s!” He then went on to give instructions on what to do. What I’ve found in my own life is God will speak either directly to me or through someone else and it always starts with a phrase such as don’t be afraid, the battle is not yours, stand still, etc. After that comes instruction. I’ve mentioned this in the past that God is a God of detail. He will give you the details you need when you need them. If you’re not hearing clear details then it’s not time to hear the details. God will give those to you exactly when you need them. Now, I will be the first person to admit that I’m not very patient in this area but I’m learning. God is for you, satan’s sole purpose in life is to stop your destiny and God’s purpose is to see you fulfill your destiny. The great part is the God has authority over satan so His will, will prevail.

In all of this, in every battle in your life, no matter what instruction you have, run, fight, stand still, whatever it is, the battle is not yours; it belongs to God. Do it God’s way, follow His battle plan and you will get through what you’re going through. You will be victorious!

I will be continuing with this each day so when you see the title “Battle Plans” don’t skip over it thinking it’s the same one as the day before, there will be a new one each day.
